We're heading to
the historic River Forest Manor and Marina in Belhaven, which was beautifully restored in 2015, for our Dog Days Cruise. The anchorage off Belhaven is excellent, too, if you prefer to stay "on the hook."
On the club's last visit to the River Forest Marina in 2018, we were given a private guided tour of the historic 1899 mansion, followed by our social on the house's broad veranda. We'll organize a socially distanced affair on Saturday. Provision your boat for your own food and drink, and don't forget your mask!
The marina provides courtesy golf carts for excursions to downtown Belhaven about a mile away. Spoon River Restaurant is open, reservations recommended, and many of the shops in the downtown area are open as well.
