Commodore's Log As 2024 draws to a close, I have to say it's been an absolutely great year. Great cruises and laughing with friends, Sharon and I found two of our daughters married, and most recently the Commodores Ball, where I learned the meaning of the word "hoot". I want to thank you all. Every encounter I've had with any one of you has always rung with smiles, kindness, and humor, leaving me grateful for finding this very fine group. As much fun as it’s been, my time as Commodore has come to an end and I pass the tiller to the very capable Mr. Jeff Kenyon. I hope he enjoys his time at the helm as much as I have. I leave him in the hands of an experienced Bridge who I've found to be energetic, caring, and incredibly easy to work with. In addition, we also welcome two new Directors and a new VC of Finance, all deserving of our every confidence. I know that many of our Vice Commodores plan to hand their role off at the end of their 2025 term. I urge anyone who may be interested in a VC role to connect with your current VC directly. They'll help you get engaged and oriented so when it's time, you can take over with confidence. I’ve found that serving on the Bridge gave me a terrific appreciation for the club, its mission, and the folks who hold it together. All that said, I'm very pleased to introduce your NSA 2025 Officers in the slate below. Thanks everybody for an outstanding year! Cruising Halloween Cruise follow-Up!
The Halloween Cruise to Beaufort was so much fun. We had a great fleet of boats as well as a few attend by land. The Saturday Social had Island Girl rocking with Halloween festivities. Calling New NSA Members!
As the season wraps up, it’s hard to believe how quickly time has flown by—but what a fun and eventful season it’s been! In October, we had a blast on the Halloween cruise to Beaufort, with perfect weather, a great turnout, and plenty of amazing costumes at the social. We also gained a few new members. Please join me in welcoming Matthew and Christy Young from Fayetteville, NC, as our newest Patron members!
If you know anyone interested in joining the NSA, now’s the perfect time! They can sign up and their membership will be valid until April 2026—no need to wait until 2026 to get started.
