Oyster Roast

We will be kicking off the 2026 season with the Oyster Roast on Saturday February 14th at Sea Harbour Yacht Club from 2-4 pm.
This is a fun event and a great time to reconnect. This event is open to members and their guests. Members attend for free and guests can attend for $20 with oysters and drinks supplied by the club. If your guests are considering joining, this would be a great time to take advantage of the perks of membership, and we will credit their Oyster Roast fee against their NSA membership if they join.
Please bring a side dish or dessert to share. We tend to run out of side dishes and salads so please consider bringing those. Also remember we are trying to minimize waste so bring:
· Plates, cutlery, glasses and tools to shuck oysters
· Chairs – we will have a few available but not enough for everyone.
Please sign up on the NSA website as soon as possible.
Pamlico Shriner’s will be cooking the oysters and taking away the oyster shells, but we need the following help and are seeking volunteers:
· Set-up: 11 am: 4-6 people to pick up the oyster tables and other paraphernalia from the NSA storage unit and take it to Sea Harbour. It would be helpful if one person had a pick-up truck.
- At Sea Harbour set up the oyster tables, Rotary tables and chairs, banners and registration table.
- Registration: 4 people, 2 for each shift 1.30-2.15 and 2.15-3 pm. Jeff will have the credit card machine.
- Clean-up: 6-8 people to clean off the oyster tables, collapse Rotary tables and chairs and clean off the buffet tables. Return NSA oyster tables and other NSA items to the storage unit.
