NSA Easter Cruise
The forecast for Saturday is not ideal! After a week of mild almost summer weather it looks as if we will return to winter for the Easter Weekend. Morning lows in the low 30's rising to 60° during the day on Saturday and maybe 10° warmer on Sunday . At least it will be sunny and calm with light N winds turning WSW late in the day.
We plan to meet on the river around 11am on Saturday and sail over to Clubfoot Creek, where the dockmaster at Matthews Point Marina is willing to allow us to go ashore and have our "socially distant" social on their lawns; we may also be able to see some of their members racing, or grilling (from at least 6 feet away). Clubfoot Creek is about 8nm SW of Oriental across the Neuse
For those hardy enough to anchor out on Saturday night, a pleasant 7-10kt W'ly breeze will provide a nice broad reach home on Sunday. There may also be the opportunity for a slip https://www.waterwayguide.com/marina/matthews-point-marina - contact Andy the dockmaster at 252 444 1805
