North Cruise to Manteo
Cruise Captains: Christa and David, Tony Nelson
This cruise will leave Ocracoke and head back across the Pamlico sound to anchor at Long Shoal River. Next day, we’ll head north and enter the ‘Old House Channel’ and enter the Roanoke Island channel after the Oregon inlet and end up in Manteo Marina. This is all weather dependent of course.
After Manteo, there are some options, depending on which way the wind is blowing. We could go past Manteo, enter the Alligator River (ICW), head south via the Pungo, then do a big loop back to Ocracoke. Or we could slowly head back the way we came. Either way, the hope is to be back in time for the Ocracoke Music Festival, starting June 6.
