Saturday, August 31st – Monday, September 2nd
Get your burgees ready! The NSA always makes a good showing at Cape Lookout for Labor Day weekend, so join us for the fun. We are planning a dinghy excursion to the lighthouse, a scavenger hunt, bocce ball, corn hole and the social on the beach. We plan to have the social on Saturday on the beach. Cell phone coverage can be spotty at the cape, so let use Channel 69 for communication.
Saturday 8/31
- Arrive & anchor, then join us on the beach for fun and games like bocci and corn hole, bring a game if you have one you want to play. If you like to be in the water, it’s good to bring something to float on. Look for the large red & white NSA Burgee.
- 5 PM NSA Social – Bring something to grill for your boat crew and a dish to share. We will have grills and charcoal going. We are asking you to stop by Knot Shore (Jean & Erik’s boat) to pick up your drinks before going to the beach. We’ll have the NSA cooler on our swim platform. We will take the wine to the beach.
- Remember to bring your Dishes, Cups, Flatware, napkins & trash bag.
Sunday 9/1
- 9:00 AM Dinghy Excursion to the Light House. We are planning this trip early before the masses of day boaters arrive. However, the Visitor Center/Gift Shop is closed. This trip will be dependent on the weather and water conditions.
- Meet on the beach for a photo scavenger hunt, more beach games, more fun socialization and to finish any club beverages.
Monday 9/2
- Monday plans are on your own. Everyone has a different schedule, so many of us leave early, as this can be a long trip back.

- BYODC – Bring Your Own Dishes, Cups, flatware, napkins, & Trash bag to events to cut back on trash and be environmentally friendly.
- Make sure to fly your BURGEE during the Event!
- Look for the Large NSA Burgee on the beach!
