The 2023 week-long promises to be a fun-filled adventure!
We hope you join us!
We will start with a raft up on June 17th at the Bay River. We’ll choose the anchoring location based on wind/weather and Kindred Spirit will be the anchor boat. Plan for a social and bring a snack to share.
The following morning we will continue on to River Forest Marina. We are working with the Port Officer for Belhaven to schedule restaurants, cocktail parties and other activities. We will provide a list of boats but you may need to call to make your deposit. We’ll keep you posted as time draws nearer.
June 20, 21 and 22nd we will head up the Pamlico to enjoy Little Washington. Bring your yoga mats if you want to participate in some stretching in the park. We will also plan a dingy tour up the tar river. This would also make an excellent paddle board excursion for those so inclined.
Other activities will include small group dinners out, a visit to the distillery, shopping, visiting the estuary. We will have another social on the waterfront gazebo. The city has wonderful docks at a reasonable price. Moss Landing is another close by Marina. There is also excellent anchoring nearby. Everyone will be required to make their own reservations due to the wide variety of choices in the area.
Finally, June 23, 24 we will head to Dowery Creek Marina. Bring a dish to share and whatever meat you want to cook on the grill and we’ll enjoy a cookout at the pool. We also plan some pool games again this year! If you have a pool noodle, please bring it with you. We will provide a list of boats but they will require everyone to call and make a deposit before their slip is held.
We’ll plan to head home on June 25th.
Remember for all socials, please bring your own plates, utensils, cups etc. We’re working to reduce the waste we produce and practicing the cruising philosophy of always taking out what we bring in.
