Halloween Cruise
Halloween falls on Sunday this year and the plan is to enjoy a day sail on Saturday and return to Oriental to enjoy the Halloween events in Oriental the evening. It will be an opportunity to capture great pictures of other members in action on their boats or get that new "frame surround" picture for website.
Saturday looks as if the weather will be cool but sunny with a 10kt W breeze which will make a sail to South river very pleasant. We will aim to be over there about noon to raft up to swap and share lunch snacks and the club will provide light midday beverages.
In the evening Southern Hellcats will be performing at the Tiki Bar while they have their annual Halloween Fancy Dress contest, and if you'd prefer something less crowded, Ken Belangia will be playing at The Brewery and Anita's Tacos will be the food truck. If you just want to wander through town, the Witches Crawl will be performing at 6, 6:30, 7 and 7:30 at the corner of King and 1st streets.
Bow to Stern Boating will host Oriental’s second Halloween Regatta on Saturday, October 30, so there will be a lot of well dressed small boats out on the water for photo-ops (please watch you don't interfere with the race which starts at 11am).
