Memorial Day Cruise
We have 21 signups already to go to Cape Lookout for our Memorial Day Cruise. Covid restrictions and guidance have eased and we will get to socialize on the beach - drinks and snacks on Saturday afternoon, and BYOmeat to grill on Sunday afternoon, the club will supply drinks and ice until we run out (no chance of running to the Piglet to restock if we do!) I'm waiting to see if the Chesapeake cruisers will get back in time to join us - or if they are having too much fun up there :). If the bar runs dry, it will be because more turn up than registered... so if you plan to come REGISTER NOW so we know how many to plan for!!!
Based on the poll, about half the fleet is leaving on Friday and the other half on Saturday, so you are sure of company as you head down Adams Creek and out of Beaufort Inlet. If you see an NSA burgee on your way down, hail them on VHF and say HI.
We've put in the forecast request already -- sunshine,
cool breezes, and sleeping with the hatches open. It's looking good at the far end of the long range forecast at the moment, but we will send better details closer to departure, including tide information for timing a good exit through the inlet (i.e. not against a maximum flood).
Looking forward to having a GREAT NSA crowd relaxing in the bight at Lookout!
