VENUE CHANGE to Beaufort Docks. The marina is now fully booked for the Halloween weekend and we have closed registration. If you did not register but would like to come and would like a slip, call Carl Crothers, VC Cruising, at 336-408-4993, to get on the waiting list. Also, there is a good anchorage just off the docks in Taylor Creek.
Halloween falls on Saturday this year and our destination is New Bern, which has one of the best Ghost Walks in the area, presented by the New Bern Historical Society.
Our tentative destination is the Galley Stores & Marina located on the Neuse River at the foot of Pollack Street. The Galley Stores & Marina has been the site of previous NSA Halloween cruises. The marina provisioning store offers gourmet foods and specialty wines and craft beers, and overlooking the marina is the fabulous Persimmons Restaurant.
We'll have a social on the marina lawn on Saturday, after which members can meet up for dinner and/or the Ghost Walk.
