We have reached our maximum allotted slips at the Anchorage Inn Marina, but we have a waiting list for those who request a slip now. The anchorage in Silver Lake is also a good option, as are the National Parks Service docks, both of which are first come, first served.
Ocracoke Island was devastated by Hurricane Dorian last year and they are coping with Covid-19, but Ocracokers are resilient and they are ready to welcome the NSA back for Labor Day weekend 2020. Many of the club's favorite restaurants and businesses are open.
The Anchorage Inn Marina and the National Park Service docks are sure to fill up for the weekend. We will be granted a limited number of reserved slips at the Anchorage Inn Marina. Registration will open on the NSA website precisely at 6 pm on Tuesday, July 7. Slips will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the time stamp on your registration. Put the registration start date and time in your calendar and don't delay as the slips go quickly. Slips at the government docks, which cannot be reserved, and space in the anchorage are first-come, first served.
Since some members will arrive Friday or earlier and some may leave on Sunday, we are planning for small-group gatherings on both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. More to come on that, but plan to provision to bring your own food and drink, and a mask, to any gatherings.
