Fall Cruise
This year's Fall Cruise is set for West Bay, weather permitting. The club has not been to this spot in a long time, so we thought we should give it a try. It used to be a regular haunt. It is roughly 22nm from Oriental marker "6" (or 4.25 hours at 5kts). There is nothing there but a beautiful beach. We plan to have a social on the beach sometime Saturday (bring a dish). If you don't have a working dinghy, there is always somebody that can give rides.
We normally anchor near 35°01.869'N 076°20.082'W. That is on the outside of West Bay. We typically anchor outside because of easier access to the beach. There is no beach on the inside of West Bay.
This will be in October so it should be nice and cool. If the wind/weather makes West End unavailable we have some alternate destinations in mind.
As always feel free to offer any other favorite alternatives. We can adjust our sails!
