NSA Shrimparoo
THE BRIDGE HAS CANCELLED THE SHRIMPERPO DUE TO CONCERNS ABOUT RISING COVID CASES.
Our annual Shrimperoo, postponed earlier this year because of Covid, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11, from 2-4 pm, on the Tiki Bar deck at the Oriental Marina and Inn. There will be plenty of shrimp, assorted foods, live music with Ken Belangia, and our favorite beverages from the Tiki Bar. There will be a 50/50 raffle with the proceeds going to Pamlico County Fishes and Loaves, the local food bank.
The Shrimperoo is our annual recruitment event for new members. There are many of us in the NSA now who were first introduced to the club at the Shrimperoo. The event is open to the public. Non-NSA members will be charged a fee of $10, which will be refunded to those who join the club at the Shrimperoo. No registration is necessary.
Currently, Covid 19 attendance limits have been lifted, but will be watching for any new restrictions that could affect the event.
We need volunteers to help with the event. Please email Kevin at kjgeye@msn.com if you are willing to help with registration, set-up, cooking or clean-up. Volunteering is a great way to get to know your fellow NSA members. As always, don’t forget to bring a side dish or dessert and your name tag!
