NSA Seminar Series: Cruising the Bahamas

  • 29 Jul 2017
  • 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Oriental Town Hall

So.....You think you want to cruise the Bahamas.  Jerry and Donna Luh have just completed their twelfth cruising season in the Bahamas and are offering to share their experiences.  They will provide information on cruising areas, getting there, paperwork, need to know information, things to do, and answer questions.  This should be a timely topic for those preparing for a trip this fall.  Come prepared with you questions.

Topics to be covered are:

  • Where are they?
    • Cruising Areas

  • How do I get there?

    • Navigation Routes

    • Navigation Equipment

  • What do I need to take?

    • Paperwork

  • What do I need to know?

    • Weather

    • Communications/Equipment and Nets

    • Supplies

    • Navigating Bahamian Waters

    • Safety

    • Anchoring

  • What can I do there?

  • Q&A session

We anticipate that this will be a popular topic and it is currently scheduled to be held at the Oriental Town Hall.  Although registration is not required the Town Hall Large Board Room has a maximum capacity of 66.  When we get to 66 attendees the doors will be closed.
